Overview:

The Financial Planning & Analysis team seeks a Financial Systems Developer to serve as a technical counterpart and primary backup to the Financial Systems Lead, reducing single-point-of-failure risk across the organization's core financial systems. This role combines hands-on NetSuite administration with system development, configuration, and troubleshooting, including support for Zone Billing, and is expected to independently design, build, and maintain NetSuite solutions. NetSuite serves as the single system of record for all transactional and close-related accounting activity, supporting both GAAP and Statutory reporting. This role partners closely with the Financial Systems Lead and broader Finance & Accounting team, owning recurring processes and system development projects while growing into a systems architecture and development leadership capacity over time.

About Centers of Excellence:

Centers of Excellence (COE) are teams whose primary goal is to provide expertise in a specific field. COEs will usually provide support through training, research, and skilled leaders. In the case of HealthEdge, our Centers of Excellence incorporate the Human Resources, IT, Legal and Financial fields, all of which provide support to our Product divisions and allows the enterprise to move forward and achieve its goals.

What you will do:

  • Administer NetSuite and provide advanced technical troubleshooting for complex transaction, configuration, and user issues, serving as a secondary point of expertise alongside the Financial Systems Lead
  • Design, build, and maintain custom NetSuite configurations, workflows, saved searches, custom fields, and SuiteScript solutions to support evolving business and reporting needs
  • Serve as an internal subject matter expert on NetSuite and Zone Billing architecture, troubleshooting complex system, billing, and integration issues and driving root-cause resolution
  • Support users with the completion of month-end close activities, including reconciliations, journal entry support, and validation of data flowing between NetSuite and other Finance/Accounting systems
  • Perform data integrity checks and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of transactional records within NetSuite and its integrations
  • Support the retirement and transition of legacy statutory reporting systems into NetSuite by validating migrated data and documenting process changes
  • Assist in testing system changes, updates, and new configurations across sandbox and production environments
  • Document standard operating procedures for recurring reporting and reconciliation processes
  • Partner with Accounting, FP&A, and other internal teams to troubleshoot data discrepancies and support ad hoc reporting requests
  • Manage user access, roles, and permissions within NetSuite, ensuring appropriate controls and segregation of duties
  • Stay current on NetSuite functionality relevant to day-to-day responsibilities through training and self-directed learning
  • Own system integration support and troubleshooting for applications connected to NetSuite (e.g., Zone Billing, SuiteProjects Pro)
  • Working as a backup administrator for the other FP&A systems as needed

What you bring:

  • BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 4-6 years of experience in a financial systems, NetSuite administration/development, or accounting systems role.
  • Foundational understanding of accounting principles (GAAP); exposure to Statutory reporting concepts a plus
  • NetSuite experience required, including hands-on configuration and development (e.g., SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, custom workflows, saved searches); experience with other ERP or financial systems a plus
  • Experience with NetSuite Zone Billing (or Zone Advanced Billing) strongly preferred, including configuration, troubleshooting, and support of subscription/billing processes
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working with high volumes of transactional data
  • Proficiency in Excel (reconciliations, pivot tables, basic formulas)
  • Ability to follow established controls and procedures while flagging exceptions or process gaps
  • Strong communication skills and comfort collaborating across Accounting, FP&A, and IT teams
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently on system enhancements and development projects with minimal oversight, and to grow into a systems architecture leadership capacity over time
