POSITION SUMMARY

HealthEdge is redefining what is possible in healthcare technology — and this role sits at the center of that work. The Project Manager is a key contributor on the Business Optimization team, a high-impact function within Customer Delivery Operations responsible for driving process optimization, organizational support, and portfolio and program execution across HealthEdge’s customer-facing delivery organization.

In this role, you will lead the planning and delivery of enterprise software implementations for health plan clients across our full product portfolio: HealthRules Payer, GuidingCare, Wellframe, and Source. You will work closely with cross-functional delivery teams and client stakeholders, owning project outcomes across the full implementation lifecycle — from kickoff and planning through go-live and beyond — while bringing the technical fluency, stakeholder acumen, and delivery discipline that define a high-caliber healthcare IT project manager.

This is an opportunity for a driven, analytically minded professional to make a meaningful impact at the intersection of technology and healthcare. The ideal candidate communicates with clarity, operates with discipline, and brings genuine intellectual curiosity to every engagement. Comfort applying AI tools to improve how work gets done is a strong differentiator. HealthEdge is committed to investing in this individual’s growth, with expanding scope, visibility, and leadership opportunity over time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Execution & Coordination

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, task lists, and milestone trackers that keep enterprise implementations on scope, on budget, and on time.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of software implementations for healthcare payer clients, working across HealthEdge’s product suite.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities across engineering, operations, product management, customer success, and client teams.
  • Identify, document, and escalate project risks, issues, and dependencies — driving resolution before they impact delivery.
  • Facilitate and document project meetings with precision, capturing decisions, action items, and stakeholder communications in real time.
  • Contribute to Business Optimization initiatives by identifying delivery gaps and building scalable, repeatable process frameworks.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for project team members and external client stakeholders at healthcare payer organizations, managing communications with professionalism and accountability.
  • Produce clear, executive-quality status updates and project reporting for internal leadership and client audiences.
  • Develop working knowledge of healthcare payer workflows — including claims processing, benefits configuration, member enrollment, and care management — to engage credibly in complex client conversations.
  • Represent HealthEdge with professionalism, composure, and a client-first orientation across all engagements.

Tools, Technology & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting across Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint.
  • Actively apply AI tools and workflow automation to improve delivery quality, accelerate reporting, and enhance stakeholder communication.
  • Stay current on emerging project management practices and healthcare IT trends, bringing new thinking to the team.
  • Perform all functions consistent with HealthEdge policies and procedures, including standards governing PHI and PII.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • 2–4 years of experience in project management or a related operational or technical role supporting enterprise or multi-stakeholder initiatives, preferably in a SaaS, healthcare IT, or professional services environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in project management methodologies — Agile/Scrum, waterfall, or hybrid — with a track record of applying them in real project environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and associated tools.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to synthesize complexity into clear, actionable information for diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, navigate ambiguity, and deliver under deadline in dynamic environments.
  • Collaborative by instinct — you bring out the best in the teams and clients you work with.
  • Curious and adaptable; you ask sharp questions, embrace problems you have not solved before, and move forward with sound judgment.

Preferred

  • Background or active interest in healthcare, health IT, healthcare payer operations, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with payer workflows: claims processing, benefits configuration, member enrollment, medical management, care management, or provider contracting.
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools — such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar — to improve professional efficiency and output quality.
  • Experience with Smartsheet, Jira, or Confluence in a live project environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, healthcare administration, or a related field; equivalent professional experience considered.
  • PMP, CAPM, CSM, or equivalent project management certification preferred; active certification is a plus.

This role does not carry direct supervisory responsibility.
