Senior Program Manager
About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Program Manager who thrives in complex, fast-moving environments and knows how to bring structure, clarity, and momentum to large-scale technical programs. You'll partner with engineering, product, and business leadership to drive programs that matter - with real accountability and real impact.
This is a hands-on role suited for someone who is equally comfortable in the details and in the boardroom, and who knows how to build trust and alignment across diverse teams.
Your Impact
Program Leadership & Delivery (40%)
- Lead complex, cross-functional programs end-to-end from planning and initiation through execution and closure.
- Manage multiple concurrent programs simultaneously, maintaining quality and delivery timelines across all workstreams.
- Define program vision, roadmap, and success metrics that align with broader business strategy.
- Identify and mitigate risks proactively, and step in to stabilize and turn around at-risk programs when needed.
Stakeholder & Executive Engagement (30%)
- Serve as the primary point of contact for executive and senior leadership delivering clear, confident updates on status, risks, and decisions.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across Engineering, Product, QA, DevOps, Finance, and Operations.
- Drive accountability and alignment across stakeholder groups without relying on direct authority.
- Facilitate governance structures, escalation paths, and stakeholder communication rhythms.
Process, Governance & Tooling (20%)
- Establish and evolve program management best practices, planning templates, reporting standards and delivery frameworks.
- Own program governance; program increment planning, milestone planning, critical path analysis, dependency mapping, and risk management.
- Support or help stand up PMO functions and contribute to delivery maturity across the organization.
- Use metrics, KPIs, and dashboards to track program health and surface insights for decision-making.
Team Development (10%)
- Mentor and support Project Managers and delivery leads, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of accountability.
- Serve as a delivery coach across teams, identifying gaps in process maturity and partnering with leads to close them.
- Champion change management and organizational adoption for transformational initiatives.
What You Bring:
- 8+ years of program management experience, including at least 3 years leading large-scale, enterprise-level technical programs.
- Proven track record delivering complex programs with high organizational visibility and business impact.
- Background in SaaS product delivery, enterprise platforms, or healthcare technology is a strong plus.
- Able to engage fluently in technical discussions, understanding architecture tradeoffs, infrastructure decisions, and how engineering choices affect delivery timelines.
- Experienced partnering with tech leads and architects to align on release readiness, sequencing, and mitigation strategies.
- Experience managing program budgets, resource allocation, and capacity planning.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity, competing priorities, and high-stakes decisions under pressure.
- Strong executive communication skills — able to present clearly and confidently to senior leadership.
- Proficient in program governance, dependency mapping, critical path analysis, and risk mitigation.
- Experienced in change management and driving organizational adoption across complex programs.
- Skilled at influencing and driving alignment without direct authority.
- Working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, and Waterfall — and the judgment to apply the right approach.
- Experience setting up or contributing to PMO functions and delivery best practices.
- Proficient in Jira and Confluence, with working knowledge of enterprise planning tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet or Excel.
- Hands-on familiarity with release management and CI/CD delivery models in technical environments.
- Comfortable building and maintaining executive-facing reporting dashboards.
- PMP or SAFe certification is preferred. Equivalent real-world experience is equally valued.
