Position Overview: 

The Events Manager will be responsible for planning and development, executing, and optimizing a wide range of corporate events that support brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth for a leading provider of technology and services that power health plans’ most important value streams. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional organizational skills and a passion for creating impactful experiences that align with business objectives. The Events Manager will collaborate closely with marketing, sales, and product teams to deliver high-quality events—both virtual and in-person—that showcase the company’s solutions and thought leadership in the healthcare technology space. Additionally, the position is responsible for managing key initiatives that strengthen our brand and enhance public relations efforts. The ideal candidate will be a proven self-starter with attention to detail.

 

About Commercial Excellence:

The HealthEdge Commercial Excellence function includes Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing.  These three organizations, combined as the Commercial Excellence function, are responsible for meeting the business’s annual and long-term financial objectives, ensuring ongoing customer satisfaction, and increasing HealthEdge brand awareness and market visibility.   

 

Your Impact: 

Third-Party In-Person Events

  • Oversight for all logistical facets of assigned conferences, conventions, tradeshows, programs, and meetings.  
  • Work with the Senior Events Manager to meet the comprehensive Events budget, including all logistics expenses based on specific event venues and vendor quotes. 
  • Determine onsite branded materials and collateral needs and manage all shipping logistics to ensure timely delivery to event locations.  
  • Strategically select and assign tradeshow booth space and oversee all logistics for booth shipments to and from event locations.  
  • Develop comprehensive roles and responsibilities documentation for each event and lead pre/post conference briefings and onsite pre-cons with the ground team to ensure flawless execution.  
  • Partner with Business Development Representatives (BDRs) to coordinate regional happy hours, including venue sourcing and securing reservations.  
  • Compile and analyze lead generation data from each event and coordinate timely follow-up with senior sales and BDR team 
  • Travel onsite to lead the team in managing all logistical aspects of large-scale events, including ancillary activities, setup, move-in, tear-down, and move-out. 

Hosted Virtual Events

  • Plan, organize, and execute virtual customer conferences and external webinars. 
  • Assist in managing communication with each sponsor organization. 
  • Develop session prep and collaborate on deliverables needed for each webinar or speaking session, as promised in contracts. 
  • Promote customer/prospect attendance and manage attendee registration in conjunction with event metrics.  
  • Coordinate website landing pages.  
  • Report on planning, progress, and event registration in weekly check-in meetings.  
  • Run webinar/call sessions, introduce speakers, field audience questions, and assist with any technical issues on the event day. 

HealthEdge In-Person Customer Conference

  • Monitor and adhere to all event timelines 
  • Travel for annual site visit and attend event to provide onsite event support. 
  • Work with sales, customer success, and marketing to develop event agendas, meals, cocktail hours, and additional sponsored activities dictated by the event. 
  • Assist in developing CVENT mobile application and event website in conjunction with annual event. 
  • Other Marketing-related duties and projects on an as needed basis. 

Brand & PR

  • Managing public relations and brand projects to enhance our brand image, working with our PR agency and media partners, internal stakeholders, and customers.  
  • Supporting our agency in creating and publishing content for press releases and other communication channels. 
  • Additional brand and PR initiatives on a case-by-case basis 

 

What You Bring: 

  • 5+ years in marketing, event management (conferences, tradeshows, corporate events) or public relations; 2–3 years independently managing complex, cross-functional projects.  
  • Background in healthcare, hospitals, health systems, government, or payer organizations preferred. 
  • BA/BS degree preferred. 
  • Skilled in end-to-end planning, including contracting, venue management, transportation, audiovisual, F&B, shipping, and onsite execution.  
  • Proven ability to manage multiple events and projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure.  
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills for internal teams, venues, and external partners. 
  • Hyper-focused on the "customer experience" and related outcomes with a strong customer service orientation and ability to act diplomatically 
  • Understanding of branding, messaging, and promotional strategies  
  • Familiarity with event management platforms, CRM systems, and virtual event technologies. 
  • Ability to track performance, analyze ROI, and provide actionable insights. 
  • Excellent oral/written communication, attention to detail, problem-solving, adaptability, and ability to work independently or in teams under tight deadlines. 
  • Willingness to travel for conferences and events.

Travel %: <20% as travel required for Annual Customer Conference, Site Location selection and planning, and some large scale related in-person events.

**The annual US base salary range for this position is $94,000 to $130,000. This salary range may cover multiple career levels at HealthEdge. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process and is based on a combination of factors including, but not limited to, your skills, experience, qualifications and education.
