Are you passionate about leading strategic benefits initiatives that enhance employee well-being and align with organizational goals? We’re seeking a Benefits Manager to join our HR Center of Excellence. This functional leadership role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing benefits programs across North America, ensuring compliance, cost efficiency, and employee engagement. While this position has no direct reports, you will act as a subject matter expert and provide strategic guidance and inputs to HR, Finance, Legal, HRIS, Payroll, and external brokers and vendors.

Centers of Excellence (COE) are teams whose primary goal is to provide expertise in a specific field. COEs will usually provide support through training, research, and skilled leaders. In the case of HealthEdge, our Centers of Excellence incorporate the Human Resources, IT, Legal and Financial fields, all of which provide support to our Product divisions and allows the enterprise to move forward and achieve its goals.
Your Impact:
- Benefits Strategy & Design
Develop and implement health, wellness, retirement, and leave programs aligned with Total Rewards philosophy, organizational objectives, and country-specific requirements. Conduct market benchmarking and cost analysis to ensure competitive, sustainable offerings.
- Program Implementation & Optimization
Lead operational planning and execution of benefits programs across regions. Identify opportunities for improvement through plan design, process enhancements, and technology solutions to drive cost efficiency and effective employee experience. Independently drive project initiatives from conception through evaluation and implementation.
- Change Management & Communication
Lead change management efforts for benefits transformations with effective stakeholder engagement, communication planning, training development, and adoptions strategies to ensure smooth transitions and high employee acceptance. Develop and deliver communication campaigns for open enrollment, policy updates, and ongoing education.
- Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements including but not limited to ACA, COBRA, ERISA, global privacy standards, and monitor emerging market practices. Oversee audits, reporting, and policy development to maintain compliance.
- Vendor & Financial Management
Manage vendor relationships, including RFPs, contract negotiations, and performance reviews to optimize service quality, deliverable and efficiency. Provide financial oversight through forecasting and cost-control initiatives.
- Data & Insights
Leverage data analytics, modeling, reporting, and benchmarking to monitor plan utilization, engagement, and program effectiveness, informing strategic decisions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration and Problem Solving
Collaborate with the People Team and other teams to align benefits initiatives with broader organizational goals and drive accountability across projects. Navigate and resolve multi-layered problems involving competing priorities, regulatory constraints, and stakeholder needs, applying critical thinking and creative problem-solving approaches.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in benefits plan design, compliance, and administration in the U.S. with strong knowledge of North American benefits landscapes, preferably in a global environment.
- Expert knowledge of U.S. health, retirement, and leave programs; familiarity with North America benefits practices is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver complex, enterprise-wide projects independently, with a proven track record of taking initiatives from concept to successful completion.
- Experience managing organizational change related to benefits programs, including designing change strategies and ensuring stakeholder buy-in.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze multifaceted issues, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions in ambiguous situations.
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms (Workday, UKG) and benefits administration tools (BenefitFocus, ADP).
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with experience in data reporting, benchmarking, and cost analysis.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to influence key stakeholders without direct authority.
- Experience leading complex projects and cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Bonus Points:
- Professional certification such as PHR, SPHR, or CEBS.
- Experience managing benefits across multiple countries and regions.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data visualization tools
- Knowledge of North America plan design, compliance requirements and tax implications for benefits.
- Demonstrated success in driving complex projects and cost-saving initiatives.
- Workday benefits implementation experience preferred.

**The annual US base salary range for this position is $102,000 to $142,000. This salary range may cover multiple career levels at HealthEdge. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process and is based on a combination of factors including, but not limited to, your skills, experience, qualifications and education.
