About the Role:
As the Sr. Payroll Manager of APAC Payroll, you will be a key member of a high-performing Global Payroll team. This role is based in India, and involves managing payroll operations, data validation, and audits for India and Philippines, while also supporting payroll system migration and future Workday, ADP or other Payroll integrations. This is a highly cross-functional role working across different time zones, especially with the US but also with the EMEA regions. The right candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and comfortable collaborating with HR, Finance, and business leaders in a dynamic, fast-evolving environment, and has the desire to drive process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage relationships with external payroll providers
- Lead and manage the APAC payroll team to ensure accurate and timely payroll, including but not limited to: base pay, stock compensation, payroll taxes, pension, statutory and supplemental benefits, etc
- Work on payroll tool migration and later support Workday integration; ensure smooth data transfer and process continuity.
- Consolidate and verify employee data, maintain accurate records, and support internal and external audits.
- Ensure payroll complies with all applicable tax, PF, ESI, PT, and other statutory regulations.
- Partner closely with our internal partners to provide our employees with a first-class payroll experience
- Proactively prepare relevant management reports and statistics as needed
- Provide mentoring and coaching to APAC Payroll team to promote growth and development
- Identify process gaps, recommend automation or process improvements, and support system enhancements.
- Risk Mitigation: Anticipate payroll risks, troubleshoot issues proactively, and ensure business continuity.

Skills & Qualifications
- 14-15 years of hands-on experience in payroll processing and administration.
- Working experience in GreytHR, ADP, and Mynd is preferred.
- Experience with Workday or other HR systems is a plus.
- Advanced with Excel and other Microsoft products with the ability to navigate large data sets
- Knowledge & understanding of international equity and mobility programs
- Strong understanding of Indian payroll structures, statutory compliances, and benefits administration.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
Strong communication skills, written/verbal, and the ability to interact with employees at all levels.
- Fluency in English, other APAC languages is a strong plus
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt to change, and manage multiple priorities.
