Position Overview:
As a Project Manager at HealthEdge, you’ll lead the successful implementation of our HealthRules Payer or GuidingCare software solutions — including configuration, integrations, upgrades, and product enhancements. You’ll serve as the primary liaison between our clients and internal delivery teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in alignment with business goals.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll apply Agile project management principles to guide cross-functional teams and drive enterprise-scale software delivery for healthcare payer and care management organizations.
About Global Professional Services:
Our Global Professional Services team supports customer-funded service delivery initiatives separate from standard SaaS license support activities. Examples include customer implementations, business expansion, and optimization initiatives.
Your Impact:
- Lead end-to-end project delivery — from kickoff through go-live — ensuring scope, budget, and timeline alignment with client expectations.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, key milestones, dependencies, and resource allocation.
- Partner with engineering, product management, operations, and security to define and execute implementation and migration strategies.
- Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and issues, proactively resolving roadblocks to ensure successful outcomes.
- Manage cross-functional teams of technical and business resources responsible for configuration, integration, and client engagement activities.
- Communicate progress, risks, and key decisions to stakeholders and executive sponsors through clear, concise status updates and presentations.
- Build strong client relationships by anticipating needs, managing expectations, and serving as a trusted advisor throughout the engagement.
- Develop project documentation — including estimates, Statements of Work (SOWs), and project charters — for ongoing and new client initiatives.
- Contribute to internal best practices and professional services strategy by sharing delivery insights and process improvements.
- Partner across departments (Finance, Product Management, Product Engineering, SaaS, etc.) to ensure alignment and continuity across client projects.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across project teams.
- Ensure compliance with HealthEdge policies and data privacy standards (PHI/PII).
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 8+ years of experience managing large-scale, enterprise software implementations for external clients.
- Proven success leading $1M+ billable projects and managing teams of 8+ cross-functional resources.
- Strong background in the healthcare payer or care management industry.
- Deep understanding of payer workflows (claims processing, benefits configuration, member enrollment, medical management, provider contracting, etc.).
- Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodology and experience leading cross-functional delivery teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage both technical and executive audiences.
- Exceptional organizational and prioritization abilities in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Demonstrated leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with enterprise SaaS product implementations and complex systems integration.
Bonus Points
- Experience using Smartsheet for project planning and collaboration.
- Familiarity with HealthRules, GuidingCare, or related healthcare technology platforms.
- PMP, CSM, or equivalent project management certification.
