JD for Postgres DBA. Azure – Managed Services with modern stack like GIT, Ansible etc is a mandatory for this requirement.
- Must have 7+ years DBA working experience with PostgreSQL and good understanding of Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Must be knowledgeable and experienced in managing PostgreSQL on multiple operating systems including Linux (RHEL) and Kubernetes.
- Experienced in setting up PostgreSQL clusters and supporting databases cluster in on-prem and hybrid cloud environment, and specifically in Azure managed services instance.
- Strong skills in UNIX/Linux Shell Scripting
- Experience in implementing Postgres STIG implementation, testing, and other vulnerability remediation.
- Nice to have knowledge of connection poolers (pgPool and pgBouncer).
- Install, monitor and maintain PostgreSQL software, implement monitoring and alerting.
- Experience in building high-scalable clusters, failover and hot standby solutions based on Maximum available architecture
- Experience in architecting, configuring, setting up Enterprise Fail over manager or similar technology for High availability solution.
- Experience in leading efforts related to system and SQL performance tuning and assisting business process integration with various data sources.
- Ability to work well with development and infrastructure teams in doing database design, changes and enhancement to new and existing applications
- Proven ability to provide High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions.
- Maintain operational documentation (e.g., procedures, task lists, architecture blueprints)
- Strong Troubleshooting Skills
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working with high demands and short deadlines that leads to working after hours.
