Overview

Primary Skills:-
1. Oracle Database Administration:
- 5 + years strong experience with managing Oracle databases (version 19c).
- Installation, configuration, troubleshooting.
- Deep knowledge of Oracle internals and SQL optimization.
- Hands-on experience with RMAN, Data Guard, and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
- Manage tablespaces, indexes, partitions, and storage optimization.
- Apply patches and upgrades while ensuring minimal downtime.
- Monitor database performance and optimize SQL queries.
- Implement security policies, user access management, and auditing.
- Automate routine DBA tasks using Shell scripting,Ansible.
- Collaborate with application teams for database design and query optimization.2. Performance Tuning:
- Expert in troubleshooting and optimizing complex performance issues.
- Use of AWR, ADDM, and ASH for performance analysis.
- Experience optimizing large-scale, multi-terabyte databases.
3. Hands on knowedge on Goldengate.
4. Hands-on experience with MS SQL Server administration.

 

Secondary Skills:
1. Strong experience with PostgreSQL administration in Linux/Unix environments.
2. Proficiency in SQL, query optimization, and performance tuning.
3. Hands-on experience with backup/recovery strategies using tools like pg_dump, pg_basebackup, or Barman tools.
4. Perform routine database administration tasks including monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting.
5. Ensure high availability and disaster recovery using replication (Streaming Replication, Logical Replication).
6. Understanding of security features and compliance standards.

 

Good to have:- 
1. Experience with cloud technologies like AWS will be an added advantage
2. Knowledge of Qlik replication, Delphix  will be added advantage.

 

Certifications:
Oracle Certifications: OCP for Oracle Database 19c.
