Designation:  DevOps Engineer 

Location:  Bengaluru (HealthEdge India Development Centre) 

Reports to: DevOps Lead 

Role & Responsibilities: 

  • Build our next generation CI/CD platform and guide the development of CI/CD pipelines.  
  • Develop and Maintain Dev to Production configuration templates based on the platform using automation tools.  
  • Contribute to our Kubernetes cluster deployment system for deploying to on-premises and public cloud providers.  
  • Work with internal customers to determine needs and translate those into requirements and designs.  
  • Make decisions on problem mitigations in critical down time situations when escalation is impractical.  
  • Create and deliver knowledge sharing presentations and documentation to developers and operations teams  
  •  Set up and maintain Containerized environments for Unit, Manual and automated testing. 
  • Document existing and new OnPrem cloud deployments using playbooks and cloud architecture diagrams. 
  • Build automated deployments using configuration management technology. 
  • Automate deployment of new modules, upgrades, and fixes by mimicking production like environment. 
  • Document and own knowledge transfer to Dev, QA, PS & Operations team. 
  •  Monitor and track key health and performance metrics of systems and applications. 
  • Continue to improve operational processes for better utilization of underlying cloud resources, Serve as a mentor for team members. 
  • Oversee the day to day work of team while being hands on. Serve as the technical expert. 
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement. 

 

Required Candidate Profile  

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors degree BE/B Tech or Equivalent experience 

Experience: 

  • 3-5 years of solid system design, Tools development and Leading Technical DevOps implementation experience. 
  • Desired Skill:  
  • Solid background in implementing infrastructure automation (Ansible) and code deployment systems. 
  • Must be strong in cloud (AWS, Azure and VMWare). Strong in Linux skills (e.g. RedHat/CentOS). 
  • Experience with Terraform, Python, Shell and Groovy. 
  • Can lead and drive things. Can connect with the stakeholders and work with different stake holders. 
  • AWS & Azure certification is a plus.  
  • Expertise with building and managing a CI/CD environment (Jenkins, Code Pipeline, SonarQube, Nexus and Atlassian toolset) 
  • Strong communication skills to interact with Agile team members 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with thoughtfulness and maturity 
  • Expert and knowledgeable on IaaS, PaaS, SaaS models with modern terminology and relevance 
  • Expertise with building and managing a CI/CD environment (Jenkins, Code Pipeline, SonarQube, Nexus and Atlassian toolset) 
  • Should have experience of maintaining, backup and restore of servers (Jenkins, Nexus etc) 
  • Expertise with AWS and Azure Serverless (API Gateway, Lambda, ECS or EKS/AKS containers) 
  • Hands on experience for Microservices CICD and deployment (Rancher or Helm)
