The Release Manager will work closely with the Application Services Managers, Application Services, Upgrade Project Managers, Product Engineering, Professional Services, Customer Success, and customers to plan and manage deployment of new feature and maintenance releases in SaaS-hosted customer environments. The ideal candidate will be a detail oriented, creative, and critical thinker who can drive execution and handle many tasks and customers simultaneously with efficiency and effectiveness.

Your Impact:

  • Review release notes for new product versions and determine changes necessary for customers.  
  • Oversee HealthRules Payer application deployment strategies for HealthEdge’s clients, including feature release and Maintenance release deployments, and promotion processes.  
  • Create and maintain a detailed deployment schedule in collaboration with various stakeholders.  
  • Collaborate with engineers to develop a comprehensive playbook for new product releases.  
  • Maintain deep understanding of product ecosystem and its interdependencies and leverage various tools available for environment management & stability. 
  • Develop and maintain the issue and risk register for every client during a feature upgrade.  
  • Ensure issues reported and resolutions implemented are baked into subsequent deployment playbooks.  
  • Manage and standardize programs to meet the release/deployment and quality criteria with a focus on standardization & repeatability in a continuous improvement environment.   
  • Lead the effort on cross-functional collaboration with TechOps, Product, Professional Services, and Dedicated Teams with regard to upgrades.  
  • Build consensus and lead decision making through nebulous problems. 
  • Create solutions to challenges and make informed recommendations to ensure uninterrupted business and high-quality service to customer. 
  • Act as a gatekeeper, ensuring that all cross-functional teams sign off on the release before each promotion to production.  
  • Identify & manage risks and clearly communicate them to project stakeholders while proposing solutions.  
  • Effectively communicate required delivery dates, deployment pipelines, and releases for project activities.  
  • Be involved in code deployments, data base synchronization, and DevOps best practices.  

 

What You Bring: 

  • 5-7 years of experience in IT Operations, Release Management, Configuration Management, Change Management, or System administration in complex environment.  
  • Experience working with internal/external teams and documenting environment changes for Releases/Deployments. 
  • Solid understanding of complex change deployment playbooks.  
  • Solid understanding of software release notes.  
  • Experience in managing deployments of changes and new product versions in a complex environment. Deployment or Release Management Experience in SaaS environment is preferred.  
  • Prior software implementation experience including configuring environments for application migration. 
  • An in depth understanding of ITIL/ITSM practices and solutions development from the drawing board to production delivery, including experience with troubleshooting scenarios in production environments 
  • Understanding of SaaS services delivery model.  
  • Understanding of ITIL practices.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.  
  • Creative problem-solving skills.

Geographic Responsibility: While HealthEdge is located in Burlington, MA you may live anywhere in the US but east coast hours are preferred.
