Overview

Position Overview:  

Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, The Senior Director of Information Technology will lead and manage a team responsible for overseeing the company's IT applications and support services. The Sr Director will build and execute strategy with the highest standards of IT operations, technology optimization, project management, and employee culture. The primary charter of this role is to ensure we’re continually improving how we empower the business to scale while capitalizing on opportunities for efficiencies.  

 

About Center of Excellence: 

Centers of Excellence (COE) are teams whose primary goal is to provide expertise in a specific field. COEs will usually provide support through training, research, and skilled leaders. In the case of HealthEdge, our Centers of Excellence incorporate the Human Resources, IT, Legal and Financial fields, all of which provide support to our Product divisions and allows the enterprise to move forward and achieve its goals. 

 

Your Impact: 

Leadership and Team Management: 

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of enthusiasm for continually raising the bar.  
  • Ensure operational readiness of the IT teams, including capabilities assessments, resource allocation, and skills efficacy. 
  • Define and execute the IT strategy in alignment with the company’s overall business goals. Excellence in long-term planning is crucial.  
  • Leverage your propensity for bridge building and your passion for continual improvement to provide the highest quality user experience for HealthEdge’s employees.  

IT Tooling and Automation: 

  • Assess capability gaps and build with an AI-first mentality. Be a subject matter expert in the AI emerging market and drive adoption that’s laser focused on what AI can bring to the table. Build future-proof foundations that position us to be nimble as new capabilities change the game.  
  • Build and optimize back-office platforms that fit with a multinational workforce while ensuring scalability.  
  • Be a subject matter expert with how our internal customers operate. Understand the details of every stakeholders’ challenges and leverage your experience with best practice technology and processes to address.  
  • Make our IT investments greater than the sum of their parts by ruthlessly incorporating automation. 
  • Be a strong partner with our Security and GRC teams, ensuring our tools and procedures align with the high standards we employ to protect our customers’ data. 

Stakeholder Communication and Reporting: 

  • Ensure our means of communication with internal customers are optimized and provide for the highest quality of engagement.  
  • Develop highly effective means of communicating initiatives and their respective statuses with a variety of stakeholders. 
  • Build key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of IT operations and services.  
     

What You Bring: 

  • 10+ years of experience in IT operations, preferably at a SaaS company, with at least 7 years in a leadership role. 
  • A demonstrable history of success with building high performance capabilities that scale. Experience with transformation via automation is essential. 
  • A leadership style that elevates efficacy, engagement, and job satisfaction. Fun must be a first principle.  
  • Excellence in storytelling. Being able to build consensus and be a change agent is crucial.  
  • A strong history of success not only with developing best practice strategies, but also with tactical execution. Keeping the end in mind while navigating entropy is a superpower for you.  
  • A strong pulse on AI and how to capitalize on it, both now and in the future.

Geographic Responsibility: While the company is located in Burlington, MA, you may live anywhere in the US. However, someone located in the Boston area would be a plus.
