Overview:
The HRP Application Services Manager will work closely with the Operations Teams, Engineering, Information Security, and Service Desk to lead continuous improvement in our SaaS delivery. The ideal candidate will have a technical background and be a creative critical thinker who can drive execution and handle many tasks simultaneously with efficiency and effectiveness. The technical manager will closely work with the team, support, mentor and develop the team into high-performing team.
Information Technology Manager Job Responsibilities:
Maintains HRP Operations Application Services strategies by managing staff, providing leadership and supervision, and implementing policies and procedures to align the team goal with overall company’s strategy and growth
Information Technology Manager Job Duties:
- Works as a liaison between Service Desk and Application Services team to better align team’s day-to-day work with overall business objectives and priorities
- Works as a liaison between various departments in the organization and Application Services team to eliminate any obstacles for the team and communicate and set expectations
- Accomplishes Application Services staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures
- Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment; developing personal growth opportunities
- Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for delivering SaaS services to HealthEdge Customers
- Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects
Completes projects by coordinating resources and timelines with other departments and Service Desk - Leverages their own technical background to mentor and guide their team to complete their objectives
Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented - Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures
- Recommends SaaS delivery strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Information Technology Manager Skills and Qualifications:
- 12-15 years of experience in IT Operations, Configuration Management, Change Management and System administration in complex environment
- At least 5 years of experience in people management experience
- At least 5 years of experience in System administration on either Linux or Windows
- Experience with public cloud infrastructure setup and maintenance a plus
- Understanding of SaaS services delivery model
- Understanding of ITIL practices
- Problem Solving
