Job Title: Senior Director, Product Management Technology
Position Summary: As the Senior Director of Product Management Technology, you will lead the strategic direction and execution of our product management efforts, driving innovation and excellence across product development, integrations, user experience, and developer experience (DevX). You will work closely with executive leadership, engineering, design, and extended teams to ensure our products not only meet business goals but exceed customer expectations. You will be responsible for shaping the product vision, prioritizing initiatives, and fostering collaboration across multiple teams to deliver seamless, user-centric solutions.
Your Impact:
Strategic Product Leadership:
Develop and execute the product strategy, balancing long-term vision with short-term goals.
Own the product roadmap, aligning it with both company objectives and customer needs, with a focus on integrations, UI/UX, and developer experience.
Lead product lifecycle management from ideation to execution, ensuring products are delivered on time and meet high-quality standards.
Identify and capitalize on market opportunities to drive product innovation and growth.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for product initiatives.
Integration Management:
Work closely with executive leadership to define objectives, timelines, and resources for each integration initiative.
Oversee and manage integration projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timelines.
Prioritize initiatives, allocate resources, and mitigate risks to ensure project success.
Collaborate with the Platform teams to define integration requirements, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve integration features.
Evaluate and prioritize integration opportunities based on customer feedback, business needs, and technical feasibility.
Ensure that all integration activities adhere to relevant healthcare regulations (HIPAA, CMS, etc.), industry standards, and best practices.
Lead the development of processes to ensure ongoing compliance post-integration activities.
Partner with extended Platform Integrations team to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for integration success.
Keep internal and external stakeholders informed of integration progress, challenges, and outcomes.
UI/UX Leadership:
Collaborate with UI/UX teams to ensure that designs are both visually appealing and user-friendly, delivering a best-in-class user experience across platforms.
Drive design thinking and ensure that all product features are intuitive, accessible, and aligned with user needs.
Utilize customer research, feedback, and data analytics to refine and enhance the user experience over time.
Lead efforts to establish and maintain UI/UX standards and best practices across the organization.
Developer Experience (DevX):
Champion improvements in the developer experience, ensuring that APIs, SDKs, documentation, and tools are designed for ease of use, high performance, and scalability.
Lead efforts to reduce friction in developer workflows, enabling both internal and external developers to work more effectively with the product.
Continuously assess and improve the tools and resources that developers rely on to integrate and interact with the product.
Foster a developer-centric culture within the organization, promoting collaboration and innovation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership:
Serve as the main point of contact between all cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration during integrations.
Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into actionable business objectives.
Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture within the product and engineering teams, setting clear goals and driving accountability.
Involved in high-level strategic decision-making.
Implement new standards and strategies that align with the organization’s goals and mission and responsible for ensuring that departments work cohesively towards the company's objectives.
Utilize data to drive product decisions, analyzing customer feedback, product usage, and performance metrics to iterate and optimize features.
Measure the impact of new integrations, UI/UX enhancements, and developer experience improvements to ensure they meet defined success criteria.
Foster an environment of continuous learning, ensuring the team is up to date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices.
Mentor and develop product management team members, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their professional goals.
What You Bring:
10+ years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of delivering complex product solutions, particularly involving integrations, UI/UX, and developer experience.
Deep understanding of strategic management and organizational leadership.
Strong understanding of product management methodologies (Agile, Scrum) and experience using tools like Jira, Asana, or Trello.
Deep knowledge of integration technologies (APIs, Webhooks, etc.) and best practices for building scalable, seamless integrations.
Solid understanding of UI/UX principles, with experience working closely with design teams to create intuitive and visually compelling user interfaces.
Expertise in optimizing the developer experience (DevX), with a focus on API design, documentation, and developer tools.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, and external partners.
Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex product initiatives.
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or Design); an MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
Bonus Points:
Experience with products that have complex integration and developer-facing components.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and modern software development practices.
Previous experience working with SaaS or enterprise-level products.
Geographic Responsibility: While HealthEdge is located in Boston, MA, you may live anywhere in the US.
