Overview
Qualification Criteria:
- 2 to 4 years of experience as a ‘Technical Writer’ or ‘Information Developer’ in a product organization.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Communications, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency with tools such as MadCap Flare, Adobe Acrobat, MS Office, and AI-based documentation tools.
- Familiarity with the JIRA project management tool and an Agile development environment.
- Ability to learn new products independently with minimal guidance.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage artificial intelligence (AI) for high-quality documentation and training content creation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.
- Utilize AI tools to enhance the quality, accuracy, and efficiency of documentation.
- Understand and translate the conceptual details of a product and its related technologies into effective end-user documentation.
- Take complete ownership and responsibility for product documentation with minimal supervision.
- Focus on end-users by presenting information in the most organized, clear, and concise manner possible.
- Collaborate with Development and QA teams to gain an in-depth understanding of the product and documentation requirements.
- Analyze source documents such as Software Requirements, Product Specifications, Technical Specifications, and Change Requests.
- Write comprehensive Release Notes, Installation Guides, User Guides, and training content.
- Craft API documentation for API users, including API references and developer guides.
- Exhibit attention to detail and consistency in formatting and language, with a strong emphasis on grammar, usage, and punctuation.
- Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, structure content effectively, understand technology trends, and conduct independent research.
- Have a solid understanding of Information Mapping, Agile development, SDLC, and DDLC methodologies.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of MadCap Flare, Confluence, MS Word, and AI-based documentation tools.
