Overview

Database Administrator (DBA Team, Operations) 

HealthEdge is a cutting-edge software company focused on providing next-generation core administration and care coordination for transformative health plansWithin our Operations group, the Database Administration team is responsible for maintaining and administering the relational database components of HealthEdge's award winning SaaS solution hosted in our private cloud.  You will have the opportunity to learn from and be mentored by our current DBA team.   

Responsibilities: 

  • Review and fulfill service requests 
  • Monitor database alerts, and perform alert triage and resolution 
  • Perform health checks of database services 
  • Analyze database system and query performance 
  • Perform change management and configuration management of existing database solutions 
  • Assist in implementing new features and advanced configurations in database solutions  
  • Assist in implementing patches and upgrades to database services 
  • Assist in implementing operational efficiencies and build automation as needed 
  • Work with Principal and Senior DBAs to understand database design, integration requirements, operational support and processes, and customer needs 
  • Interact with key stakeholders including Cloud Operations, Information Security, Professional Services, and support teams for service request fulfilment, implementations, and operational support related to database services 
  • Participate in product workshops and testing of database tools 

Required Experience, Skills, and Behaviors: 

  • 5+ years of experience administering Oracle databases, including version 19c 
  • Experience administering SQL Server databases desirable 
  • Ability to methodically troubleshoot issues 
  • Working knowledge of database tools and solutions, operational processes, and compliance mandates  
  • General awareness of database trends and products
