Overview

Position Overview: 
As the Head of HealthEdge’s Experience Platform, you will spearhead the design, development, and ongoing enhancement of our healthcare SaaS’s user experience platform. This platform will represent a modern, scalable, accessible, and high performance way of building user experiences across our four products.  You will collaborate across multiple technical and business functions to ensure the platform delivers seamless, intuitive, and impactful experiences for both our healthcare clients and internal stakeholders. Your mission is to drive user-centric innovation while ensuring that the platform scales efficiently to meet the evolving needs of the teams building on it. 
 

Your Impact: 

  • Platform Strategy & Leadership 
  • Lead the strategic vision for the platform, aligning with business objectives and industry best practices. 
  • Collaborate with the CTO, engineering, product management, and data science teams to create a scalable and innovative platform architecture. 
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the tech team, focusing on user experience optimization. 
  • Cross-functional Collaboration 
  • Partner with product, engineering, and clinical teams to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications. 
  • Ensure platform designs integrate seamlessly with other business systems, including EHRs, patient management tools, and AI-driven solutions. 
  • Engage with customer success and support teams to collect and analyze user feedback for continual improvement. 
  • User-Centric Design & Development 
  • Oversee end-to-end user experience design processes, including user research, journey mapping, wireframing, and usability testing. 
  • Manage the design and technical teams to ensure the platform provides an intuitive, accessible, and secure experience for all users, including healthcare providers, administrators, and patients. 
  • Maintain a relentless focus on user needs while balancing scalability, performance, and security concerns. 
  • Data-Driven Insights 
  • Use data analytics to monitor platform performance, user engagement, and satisfaction levels, and leverage insights to inform iterative improvements. 
  • Work closely with AI and machine learning teams to personalize user interactions based on predictive analytics and behavior patterns. 
  • Platform Scalability & Technical Excellence 
  • Ensure that the platform is architected for scalability, reliability, and security in compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.). 
  • Lead the development of new features and functionalities that align with the future of healthcare delivery, ensuring that they enhance user engagement and meet business growth needs. 
  • Team Leadership & Development 
  • Build and lead a high-performing cross-functional experience platform team, fostering collaboration and alignment with the broader technology strategy. 
  • Mentor team members, supporting professional growth and cultivating leadership across the team. 
  • Stakeholder Management 
  • Act as the key point of contact for platform-related initiatives, ensuring clear communication with senior leadership, clients, and external stakeholders. 
  • Present platform updates, new feature developments, and user experience insights to the executive team and board of directors. 

What You Bring: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, UX/UI Design, or related fields. 
  • 10+ years of experience in platform development, product management, or UX design, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. 
  • Proven experience in healthcare SaaS, digital health platforms, or related industries. 
  • Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, etc.) and security protocols specific to healthcare. 
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, agile environment. 
  • Deep understanding of healthcare industry standards, including HIPAA, HITECH, and other regulatory frameworks. 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language. 
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing teams. 

Bonus Points: 

  • Experience with AI, machine learning, or data analytics within a healthcare context. 
  • Knowledge of patient engagement strategies and healthcare workflows. 
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR).
