Position Overview:
As the Infrastructure and DevOps Platform Leader, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and management of the infrastructure and DevOps platform that supports the company's SaaS solutions. You will play a critical role in ensuring system scalability, reliability, security, and continuous delivery while collaborating closely with product, engineering, and operations teams. This role is essential in driving automation, fostering a DevOps culture, and optimizing infrastructure to support the company's growth.
Your Impact:
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the architecture, deployment, and maintenance of cloud and on-premises infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and security.
- DevOps Strategy: Lead the development and implementation of the company's DevOps strategy, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, configuration management, and infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure the platform complies with healthcare regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, SOC2) and adheres to industry best practices in security, monitoring, and disaster recovery.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including software engineering, product management, and IT, to align infrastructure and DevOps practices with business objectives.
- Leadership: Manage, mentor, and grow a team of infrastructure engineers and DevOps professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Cost Optimization: Monitor and optimize cloud spending, ensuring infrastructure efficiency and cost-effectiveness without sacrificing performance.
- Monitoring & Performance: Implement robust monitoring and alerting systems to proactively detect and resolve performance issues, ensuring uptime and reliability of critical applications.
- Automation & Tools: Lead efforts in automating workflows and processes for deployment, testing, scaling, and monitoring, using modern tools and technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, etc.
- Incident Management: Oversee incident response processes and post-mortems to prevent recurrence and improve system reliability.
- Technology Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest in cloud infrastructure and DevOps technologies and introduce innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of experience in infrastructure and DevOps roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
- Proven experience managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container orchestration systems (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab), IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
- Previous experience in a healthcare SaaS or other regulated industry is highly desirable, with a strong understanding of HIPAA and other relevant regulations.
Technical Expertise:
- Proficient in cloud architecture, networking, security best practices, and microservices architecture.
- Familiar with infrastructure monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) and logging systems (e.g., ELK, Splunk).
Leadership Skills:
- Proven ability to lead and inspire high-performing technical teams.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate across teams and with senior leadership.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to solve complex infrastructure and deployment challenges in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Certifications:
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud
- Professional DevOps Engineer, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator are a plus.
