Position Overview:
The Enterprise Data Architect will play a critical role in shaping and driving the strategic direction of the enterprise wide data architecture (including the BI, reporting, AI/ML, and Datalakehouse strategy) for HealthEdge. This role will be responsible for defining the overall data architecture vision and strategy that aligns with business goals and industry best practices. The Enterprise Data Architect will ensure the scalability, security, and accessibility of data across systems, while supporting innovative analytics and AI capabilities in a highly regulated healthcare environment.
Your Impact:
- Data Architecture Strategy: Develop and maintain the enterprise data architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with the organization’s long-term objectives, including supporting AI-driven initiatives.
- Data Governance & Compliance: Implement robust data governance practices to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with industry standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
- Data Integration & Interoperability: Design and oversee data integration architectures and strategies, including ETL processes, data pipelines, and APIs that facilitate seamless exchange of healthcare data across systems and partners.
- Technology Leadership: Work closely with IT, development teams, and product management to ensure the integration of scalable data technologies that meet evolving business needs.
- Cloud Data Solutions: Design cloud-based data solutions, leveraging platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, to ensure data scalability, security, and high availability.
- Analytics Enablement: Architect data models that enable advanced analytics, business intelligence, and machine learning solutions to deliver actionable insights to healthcare providers and patients.
- Security: Ensure that all data solutions are architected with a focus on security, privacy, and regulatory compliance, especially as it relates to sensitive healthcare information.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams including software engineering, product management, security, and data science to design and implement data strategies that drive business outcomes.
- Innovation: Stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends in data management and healthcare to recommend new tools and methodologies that enhance the company's data architecture.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in data architecture or enterprise architecture roles, preferably within healthcare or SaaS industries.
- Expertise in designing and implementing large-scale data architectures, including relational and non-relational databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data architectures (e.g., data lakes, data warehouses, data meshes).
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, ICD, etc.) and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, GDPR).
- Proven experience in designing and implementing data governance frameworks.
- Familiarity with AI/ML models, data analytics tools, and BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong understanding of security frameworks and practices for healthcare data (e.g., encryption, secure access control).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of influencing leadership and technical teams.
Bonus Points:
- Experience with healthcare interoperability protocols.
- Hands-on experience with data modeling tools and ETL platforms.
- Understanding of microservices and service-oriented architectures in a healthcare SaaS environment.
