BI Developer 

BASIC SUMMARY:   

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Business Intelligence (BI) Developer with a strong focus on developing and creating dashboards. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in data visualization, dashboard development, and Power BI. This role is essential in delivering visually appealing and insightful dashboards that empower stakeholders to make informed decisions. 
 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
 

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive and visually engaging dashboards using Power BI. 

• Translate complex data sets into user-friendly visualizations that highlight key insights and trends. 

• Work with large datasets to extract, clean, and transform data for dashboard consumption. 

• Create, maintain and optimize data extract jobs from multiple data sources.   

• Integrate data from multiple sources to create comprehensive dashboards that provide a holistic view of business performance. 

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into dashboard requirements. 

• Conduct regular meetings with end-users to gather feedback and ensure dashboards meet business needs. 

• Optimize dashboards for performance and usability, ensuring quick load times and responsive designs. 

• Regularly update and maintain dashboards to reflect the latest data and business metrics. 

• Provide training and support to end-users to help them effectively use and interpret dashboards. 

• Develop documentation and user guides for dashboards and BI tools. 

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

• 5 or more years’ experience as a BI Developer, with a strong emphasis on dashboard development. 

• Strong proficiency in Power BI 

• Strong SQL skills and experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle). 

• Excellent data visualization skills with an eye for design and detail. 

• Experience with ETL processes and tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS). 

• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and best practices. 

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. 

• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R. 

• Understanding of data governance and data security best practices. 

• Ability to understand and translate business requirements into effective dashboards. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
