Overview

Position Overview: 
Our company is seeking a DevOps Development Engineer with a strong background in Pipeline Development to join our team to provide technical expertise in developing, deploying, and maintaining our software applications on the Azure cloud platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Azure cloud technologies, Kubernetes and the YAML scripting language. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between development, Operations, and Infrastructure team members. The DevOps Development Engineer primary responsibility would be to maintain the current transition of all development work into our application pipelines. The occasional monitoring, troubleshooting and Release of our software applications.

Your impact: 

  • Design, build, and maintain Application Pipelines and tools necessary for software development, testing, and deployment on Azure cloud platform. 
  • Implement and manage Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for multiple projects on Azure DevOps 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth operation of software development, testing, and deployment on Azure. 
  • Automate Application tasks using scripting and configuration tools such as Azure PowerShell, and Azure CLI 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues related to application deployments on Azure. 
  • Participate in code reviews and provide technical expertise to team members. 

What you bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience 
  • 3+ years of experience in software development, and or automation on Azure 
  • Hands-on experience with Azure cloud technologies such as Azure DevOps, Azure Kubernetes Service, and Azure Storage 
  • Experience with Azure DevOps for Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines 
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, YAML, Bash 
  • Strong knowledge of Azure governance, management, and monitoring tools 
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills 

Bonus points: 

  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, and Azure Application Insights 
  • Knowledge of database administration and scaling techniques on Azure 
  • Experience with agile development methodologies on Azure 
  • Knowledge of software security principles and practices on Azure.
