Key Responsibilities
Manage and optimize network components: Handle routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless networks, Citrix Netscalers, Cisco ISE, and NSX for VMware.
- Ensure network reliability and security: Maintain the reliability, performance, stability, and security of both physical and virtual network infrastructure.
- Provide technical guidance: Offer expertise in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting for traditional and SDN environments, particularly NSX for VMware.
- Drive automation initiatives: Utilize scripting languages (e.g., Python) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible) to streamline network operations and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate across teams: Work with system administrators, security specialists, and application developers to align network infrastructure with business objectives, including NSX integration.
- network monitoring and troubleshooting: Use tools such as SolarWinds, Wireshark, and PagerDuty for proactive network monitoring and issue resolution.
- Capacity planning and optimization: Conduct Capacity planning to Ensure network resources, including NSX, meet current and future demands.
- Implement network security policies: Develop and Maintain security policies, procedures, and controls to protect against threats and vulnerabilities across all network devices, including NSX environments.
- Perform network upgrades and migrations: Execute network upgrades, migrations, and deployments with minimal disruption, focusing on seamless NSX deployment and integration.
- Primary contact for network inquiries: Serve as the main point of contact for network-related inquiries and issues, providing timely resolution and communication to stakeholders regarding NSX and other network components.
- Evaluate new technologies: Assess new technologies, products, and services, making recommendations for network improvements, particularly with NSX for VMware and other network devices.
- Cloud networking tasks: Handle implementation and operational tasks for Microsoft Azure and AWS Cloud networking setups.
- Provider collaboration: Work with service providers to resolve circuit issues and Ensure service uptime.
Technical Skills
'- Proficiency in managing routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless networks, Citrix Netscalers, Cisco ISE, and NSX for VMware.
- Strong understanding of network design, implementation, and troubleshooting in both traditional and SDN environments.
- Experience with automation tools (Ansible) and scripting languages (Python).
- Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark, PagerDuty).
- Knowledge of network security policies and procedures.
- Experience with cloud networking in Microsoft Azure and AWS.

Certifications
'- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent.
