Overview

Position Overview: 

The Release Manager will work with cross-functional internal teams to manage changes (software releases/deployments) going into an environment, along with ensuring the stability of the environment post change. The ideal candidate will have software implementation experience including configuring and managing environments for application migration. This will include a solid understanding of Release, Change and Environment Management processes. This role is additionally expected to mentor team members and streamline current processes to align with HealthEdge Continuous Improvement principles. Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus, but not required. This role is remote.

The complete suite of solutions from HealthEdge delivers a digital foundation for payers specifically designed to fuel a digital transformation, reduce costs, and improve both clinical outcomes and the member experience. 

Your impact:  

  • Maintain deep understanding of HealthEdge/Customer product ecosystem and its interdependencies and leverage various tools available for environment management & stability 
  • Streamline processes with an eye on automation to foster continuous improvement 
  • Manage and standardize programs to meet the client’s release/deployment and quality criteria with a focus on standardization & repeatability in a continuous improvement environment 
  • Builds consensus and leads decision making through nebulous problems 
  • Ability to find solutions to challenges and make informed recommendations. 
  • Act as a gatekeeper, ensuring that all cross-functional teams sign off on the release before each promotion to production 
  • Identify & manage risks and clearly communicate them to program/project stakeholders while proposing solutions 
  • Effectively communicate required delivery dates, deployment pipelines, releases, and proposed enhanced processes to the delivery teams 
  • Be involved in code deployments, database synchronization, and DevOps best practices 
  • Streamline deployment practices for effective delivery to the client

  • Manage expectations both internally and externally (Customer) while working through issues/initiatives/processes 
  • Release Management: 
  • Solid functional and technical experience with Release and Change Management processes, including configuring environments for application migration  
  • The ability to effectively communicate and coordinate between multiple teams including Infrastructure, Support, On-Call, Development, QA, SMEs, architects, and business stakeholders as well as with client teams  
  • A focus on a zero/minimum-error software delivery scenarios  
  • Hands-on experience with hot fixes for software applications and the ability to seek alternatives in case of deploy/code failures  
  • Knowledge of release management processes using current trends and tools in the industry including DevOps and CI/CD  
  • Environment Management 
  • Experience working with client/customer teams and documenting environment changes for Releases/Deployments  
  • Prior software implementation experience including configuring environments for application migration 
  • A working knowledge of Jenkins, configuration management database (CMDB), code packaging, Azure DevOps, Salesforce, ELK, Git Hub, AWS, and basic Unix commands 
  • An in depth understanding of ITIL/ITSM practices and solutions development from the drawing board to production delivery, including experience with troubleshooting scenarios in production environments
