Overview:  

The Cloud Engineer (Azure) will work with the application development, cybersecurity, and infrastructure engineering teams to implement, optimize, and maintain cloud-based solutions. In this role, the Cloud Engineer will deploy and debug cloud stacks, educate teams on cloud services, ensure the security of the cloud infrastructure, and stay updated on cloud-computing technology. Additionally, the Cloud Engineer will identify the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the organization and maintain them in accordance with best practices and company security policies.

PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must be local to the Alexandria, VA area and have the ability to drive to the office as needed 

What you will do:

• Modifying and improving existing cloud and on-premises systems.
• Building, and deploying modular cloud-based systems.
• Automate infrastructure tasks using scripting and configuration management tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, PowerShell, Ansible, and Azure CLI
• Developing and maintaining cloud solutions in accordance with best practices.
• Ensuring efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security.
• Identifying, analyzing, and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
• Regularly reviewing existing systems and making recommendations for improvements.
• Interacting with development teams, providing cloud support, and making recommendations based on client needs.
• Developing solutions to automate manual tasks and processes.
• Perform all job functions consistent with HealthEdge policies and procedures, including those which govern handling PHI and PII

What you bring:

• Azure certifications preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in the field of cloud computing (Azure specific experience, GCP).
• 2+ Experience managing containerized solutions (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS).
• Experience with Linux administration experience (RedHat, Oracle Linux, Ubuntu).
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud technologies such as Azure App Service, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service, and Azure Storage
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Bicep, or Ansible
• Strong understanding of on-premises infrastructure (VMware, Cisco UCS).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python
• Experience with Azure networking and security concepts
• Strong knowledge of Azure governance, management, and monitoring tools
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Good understanding of Embedded PowerBI
• The ability to drive to the Alexandria, VA office as needed is required.
