In your role as a Healthcare Technical Writer II, you will work closely with the internal stakeholders to produce high quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our products. You will join team of talented technical writers who work collaboratively with developers, quality engineers, product managers, Business Analysts and Senior Clinical Experts, and usability experts to make our products easier to use.

  • Independently work with subject matter experts to gathering to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, configuration guides, product release notes, and process documentation.

  • Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

  • Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements.

  • Conduct quality check on final documents prior to the delivery for ease of comprehension, formatting consistency, and accuracy.

  • Work in an Agile environment, as a Developer in Documentation, you will design and produce documentation and other user assistance content primarily for an internal technical consumer audience.               

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Arts, Computer Science, Education, or a medical related

  • Expert-level knowledge of the English language and the mechanics of writing for external publications.

  • 3-5 years of prior experience working with a software product/application in a similar role, preferably in the healthcare space.

  • 3-5 years of technical writing and teaching experience highly desirable.

  • Previous experience writing documentation and procedural materials such as user manuals, release notes etc.

  • Have technical expertise, a hands-on and self-motivated approach, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the willingness to learn innovative technologies.

  • Multimedia development a plus

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.

  • Must have demonstrated ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and graphics and multimedia

  • Knowledge of healthcare industry; Care Management highly preferred

  • Proficiency in creating Microsoft Word templates using styles and standards and PowerPoint

  • Positive and energetic attitude with a strong desire to meet goals, priorities, and commitments

  • Preferable experience with xml-based multi-channel authoring tools such as Madcap Flare, Adobe Framemaker, Doc Book., plus other tools

  • Understanding of modular content methodologies

  • Experience documenting reporting systems and Data Warehouses

  • Knowledge of XML, HTML and CSS
